More Evidence for EMDR’s effectiveness

Here is an article from The Scientic American citing the effectiveness of EMDR as a trauma treatment.  Here’s a quote:

These studies and others from the past several years have helped validate EMDR—so much so that the American Psychiatric Association, the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, and the Departments of Defense and of Veterans Affairs have deemed it an effective therapy.

EMDR is currently also being effectively applied to many other disorders than PTSD.  It has been found to be effective in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), depression,  eating disorders, anxiety, low self esteem and also to enhance performance and decrease performance anxiety.  It is quite a tool!
